The Ferrari 512 TR is now available to view at Kahn H.Q.

With just 2,261 examples ever produced, this 1993 Rosso Corsa Red model is available with just 12,000 miles on the clock and just one previous owner.

The 512 TR moniker was derived from its predecessor, the Ferrari Testarossa, “512” refers to the Testarossa’s 5 litre engine and 12 cylinders whilst “TR” is an abbreviated version of Testarossa.

The engine received a number of updates in the form of Nikasil cylinder liners, Bosch Motronic engine management, 10.0:1 compression, and a more efficient exhaust system which resulted in a rise in horsepower to 428 and an increase in top speed to195 mph.

Even though the exterior remained more or less the same, except for the redesign of the car’s nose, the updated steering wheel and Nero seats makes the 512 TR more comfortable.

As for the interior, Nero seats fit in nicely alongside a redesigned Ferrari gearbox with a single-plate clutch, which allows the driver to make smooth gearshifts.

Unveiled in 1992, the 512 TR famously rivalled the Lamborghini Diablo and received many admirers, most notably the world famous racing driver, Phil Hill.

Writing for Road & Track Magazine, he stated: “Lurking under that bodywork is about three quarters of an F40 with all the conveniences of any modern GT”.

It is safe to say it is difficult to find 512 TRs in such extraordinary condition. The 512 TR is one of the most iconic cars of the 80s 90s, therefore it deserves a place in any collection of Ferraris, and this example would be a wonderful addition.
