One of the most memorable cars of yesteryear, the much sought after Jaguar XJR TWR 4.0 Sport Auto is now available to view at our Leeds Showroom.

The XJR was aimed at Jaguar enthusiasts, encouraged by the success of the racing team under Tom Walkinshaw whose Jaguar Sport firm, jointly owned by Jaguar, developed the car.

One of only 293 right hand vehicles manufactured, the XJR model replaced the 3.6 litre AJ6 engine in 1989, maintaining its position as a top of the range model for the best part of a decade.

After being produced, XJR models were sent directly to TWR in Coventry to be modified. The XJR 4.0 litre from 1990 onwards was bestowed with £8000 worth of modifications at TWR in Coventry.

The XJR 3.6 handling upgrades and engine enhancements such as high lift cams, improved double plenum inlet manifold and a compression ratio of 9.75:1, this very rare XJR is one of very few models which remain in existence.

To drivers accustomed to thoroughbred sports cars, the leather interior, embossed headrests, heated front seats, power assisted steering and upgraded anti roll bars are a real delight.
