Members of the Kahn Design team, including Afzal Kahn himself joined over one hundred classic and supercars on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea on Sunday the 8th September for the Grand Chelsea Rendezvous event.
Cars arrived from 9.00am to join the Grand Cavalcade of cars which departed from the Royal Hospital Chelsea, parading past Buckingham Palace, Marble Arch, Harrods and the new A. Kahn Design boutique on Kings Road.
The event which promised a spectacular selection of classic and modern beauties for enthusiasts, serious petrol heads and casual browsers alike, did not disappoint.
In particular, the Kahn Design Bugatti Veyron, proudly bearing the internationally famous number plate “F1,” vowed the crowds, which onlookers rushing to take their prized photograph.
Organised by the 96 club, the Grand Chelsea Rendezvous aims to raise awareness and funds for the work of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the long time residence of the world famous Chelsea pensioners.
The 96 club is run by Michael Scott, a close friend of Afzal’s - affectionately known as 'Scottie' – a passionate car enthusiast with a great history in the automobile industry. He has organised an incredible number of prestigious events for aficionados of motor cars over many years and is the 96 Club personified.
